This family recipe for candied pecans is crunchy and sweet, perfect for a delightful snack or addition to your holiday dishes. Passed down from my great aunt, these pecans are the real deal, made with sugar and butter for an irresistible treat.
What you need

cup unsalted butter

tsp salt

cup sugar

liquid egg whites

pecan nuts
Instructions
1: Preheat the oven to 325°F. 2: Add the pecans to a sheet pan and roast for 15 minutes. 3: Beat the egg whites with a hand mixer or stand mixer to stiff peaks. 4: Add the sugar, vanilla, and salt to the beaten egg whites and gently mix to combine. 5: Add the pecans to the egg and sugar mixture and toss to coat. 6: Add the butter to the sheet pan, then add the pecans and spread them out. 7: Place the pan in the oven for 30 minutes, tossing every 10 minutes. 8: Allow to cool before removing from the pan.View original recipe
