This savory dish features caramelized cabbage that melts in your mouth, accompanied by crispy chili rice and a flavorful sesame-ginger dressing. Perfect as a side dish or a wholesome vegetarian meal.
What you need

tbsp honey
lemon
head cabbage
tsp fresh ginger

tsp sesame oil

cup water

tsp salt

tbsp fresh cilantro

cup cooked rice

tbsp lemon juice

tbsp tamari soy sauce

tbsp sesame seed
tbsp olive oil

tsp garlic

oz chili
Instructions
1: Preheat the oven to 425F. Line a sheet pan or baking pan with parchment paper. 2: Add the rice to the sheet pan, then add the chili crunch and the tamari. Toss to coat then spread the rice and pack it down. Place in the oven for 30-35 minutes, tossing halfway. 3: Heat a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil, then add the cabbage wedges and sear them for about 3-4 minutes per side. Add the salt, pepper, water, and tamari. Drizzle the tops with honey and squeeze the juice from the lemons and add them directly to the pan, tucking them between the wedges. Cover the pan and place the cabbage in the oven for 10 minutes, then remove the cover and bake for another 25-30 minutes, until the liquid has almost completely evaporated. 4: Make the dressing. Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and whisk to combine. 5: Plate the cabbage, top it with some of the rice and drizzle with the dressing. Top with cilantro and sesame seeds, if desired.View original recipe
