Garlicky Green Beans
Elevated green beans with a crispy Parmesan-almond-date crumble, perfect for the holidays!
What you need

tsp salt

tbsp fresh thyme leaves
pepper
cup fresh parsley

tbsp olive oil

medjool dates

cup almond

cup parmesan cheese

clove garlic
Instructions
1: Preheat the oven to 400°F. 2: Make the parmesan crisp. Add the parmesan, almonds, thyme and a little pepper to a nonstick sheet pan (or parchment paper). Toss together and spread evenly. Place in the oven for 7-10 minutes, until it is browned. Remove and allow to cool. 3: Make the green beans. Heat a large sauté pan over medium high with a couple inches of salted water, then bring the water to a boil. Add the green beans and cover. Steam for about 3-4 minutes, tossing them after 2 minutes. Drain the water, place the green beans into a bowl, then add the pan back to the stove. 4: Add the olive oil to the pan, then add the green beans and season with salt, pepper and the garlic. Use tongs to toss to coat and sauté for 6-9 minutes until they are seared but still have some crunch. 5: Break apart the parmesan crisp into small pieces, add the parsley and the dates and toss to combine. 6: Add the green beans to a plate, top with the crumble.View original recipe
